Day 7 – Your dream wedding

Last post~! Well, for this blog anyways, I'm not going to stop blogging for good, but like I said before, I'll be making a new blog, just not sure when.

Anyways, let's get back to the topic shall we? My dream wedding... Well, I have to say I haven't really thought about it that much. I don't really know where, how, or when I'll get married [hopefully to my current guy], but there are some key ingredients that I would definitely want in my wedding:

1.) Green Roses or Green Flowers

Green Roses

Green~! Green~! Green~!
I would definitely love to have green roses or any green flowers as the theme for my wedding day. I really love the color green and I love the fact that not everyone knows these kinds of flowers exists coz they aren't regularly or commonly used. They just feel really special that way. On top of that, my guy also likes the color green~!

Green and Red may look Christmassy, but I love the colors!!!
Buuuuut we also like the color red~! I'm not really sure if it would seem corny since it looks like it's for Christmas, but I like the thought of using these colors together. They complement each other and they are opposite the color wheel. It sort of somehow describes our personalities. We're opposites, but we complement each other~!

2.) An Elegant Wedding Dress

One of the other things that is absolutely important for my dream wedding would be the wedding dress. It has to look totally amazing even though it's simple. I want it complex but simple. I want it simplex! [yes, there's a word like that]. I can't really say I've thought of the perfect wedding dress design, but there are a few elements in a wedding dress that I do like but don't necessarily have to go together:

Must... have... LACE!!!
It would be nice if there was lace in my wedding dress. I don't know why, but it just looks... so... awesome~!

Embroidered frilly fantasy~!
It's either the lace or embroidered designs. I'm not too sure if embroidery and lace would make the dress too overworked or cluttered, but it there was a way to make them work together, why not? Frills may look nice but it's not a necessity.

Prom dress look~!

Long, slim, and elegant skirts look great, but I really like how balloon-y skirts [like the ones in prom dresses] really attracts me. I like how it's really form-fitting on the top but really big and balloon-y on the bottom. It just looks so fashionable.

And last but not least...

3.)The Wedding Dance

A wedding cannot be complete without the wedding dance.
I don't know about you guys, but for me, a wedding cannot be complete without the wedding dance.

Well, I'm not really a dancer and I would probably be red in embarassment while I'm dancing, but I would not exchange it for the world. It's just a magical feeling, being in a crowded room and your attention is just on one person and you feel like you two are the only ones there. I definitely want to experience that feeling~!

Anyways, that's all for now guys~! For those who seriously read my blogs, thanks for tuning in~! I'll see you around~!

Ella blasting off to the speed of light~!

This won't be the last of it~! ^___~

Day 6 – A photo of an animal you’d love to keep as a pet

This, without a doubt, would be the photo of an animal I would very much love to keep as a pet... granted they last long enough...

Chick~!
Now, why a chick? well, last August, my friend Shy and I came across this guy selling chicks. Some were colored, and some were not. Shy bought an orange colored one and a non-colored one. We were actually on our way home to my place to make our 2D animation project as an entry for Animahenasyon [unfortunately we were not able to submit it because we finished late and weren't able to convert it to miniDV format *sad*]. When Shy was about to go home, she let me keep one of them. I chose the non-colored one and called it Chocobo while Shy named hers Havoc Phoenix Bird Flu.

Unfortunately, Chocobo died after 6 days. I was thinking of taking a picture of him during the time he or she was still alive, but I wasn't able to because of all the work to be done. Now I kind of regret it. From now on, I'll require myself to take a picture of every new pet I get.

If not a cute yellow chick, then I'd like a quail chick, they're cute too! In fact, I recall having them as a pet for 1 day back when I was in elementary. There were probably like 5 or 6 of them in this basket [which look like a cylinder tissue box]. They were so cute, I fed them by putting rice or seeds on my hand and they stepped on my hand and UGHHHHH they are so adorable!!!

Ain't it soooooo cute???
Unfortunately, well yeah, I was only able to play with them for a day because shortly after, we went to my relative's place and slept there overnight. When we came back, my aunt said they got eaten by ants.

After that, I dreamed of having pet chicks. I forgot about that dream, until I got Chocobo. :(( Now I'm practically obsessed with chicks again! I really want another Chocobo!!!

Lookie lookie~! Chocobo cupcakes!!!

*Gasp* A Chocobo just hatched!!!

I want to ride a Chocobo!!! Kweh!!!
Maybe not something that looks like this @__@

I really really really want one!!!

That's all for now~! Ella blasting off~!

Day 5 – A photo of yourself two years ago

A picture of myself 2 years ago.

For lack of a better picture, I'll use this:

Yep, I used to have wayyy shorter hair back then. Though when I was in elementary all the way through high school, I had either shoulder-length or really long hair till my waist. I kinda looked like some kind of hippie that way.

Geek to the MAX!!!

Yep, that's me with the long hair... This was back in 2007. I think I was in 2nd year. The little girl in pink is my uhhh... I'm not even sure if she's a niece or a cousin...

Anyways, 2 years ago, in my 1st year, I was a really really shy girl [well until now I sorta am, but I'm more open now] who didn't know much about Photoshop, didn't know anything at all about 2D flash, Inkscape, InDesign, and what not. Compared to back then, I was more of a traditional artist and didn't care much about digital art [except for spriting I guess].

Anyways, that's all I can say for today~! Ella blasting off to the speed of light~!

Sunday 9 October 2011

Day 4 – Your plans for today

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday...

...Awesome, awesome Sunday...

...the day of Sabbath...

...the day God rested...

...the day school kids usually find time to relax...

...the day families come together to spend time...

...the day to just be lazy and do everything the lazy song says...

... the day to PARTEH~! go on a date or watch a movie...

... but not me~! I have to work! YAY! OTL  T____T

I look like this right now.

     Why oh why oh why!?!?!

Today is supposed to be the start of my semestral break, but unfortunately, because of all the other projects that are either undone or moved to be submitted next week, I have to work.

     Wonderful... Simply wonderful...

The projects I have to do over the next few days would be:

     > General Psychology [the Cerebus visual novel game me and my guy, Adrian, is making for our project]
     > 3D Modeling [I have to make a model of a Swiss Army Knife OTL]
     > Multimedia Production [I've done the one for finals, but I'm still going to submit an exercise I wasn't able to do when I was absent that one time]
     > Advertising 1 [I need to revise one of my ads for wednesday]
     > Web Design [well... it's this blog]

General Psychology

So, what's this about a game?

Well, in General Psychology, we were asked to get 3 topics from our syllabus and present it in anyway we want. Some of my classmates chose to make a game presentation, some other people from IT thought of making a website and some probably made a video.

And us? It might just be because we're big braggarts, just really ambitious or both, but we [Adrian and I] agreed and decided on making a video game to present our topics.

     Just the two of you?

Noooo, not at all! Actually there were 4 of us [I shall not state who they are], one who just agreed to help when we asked him to [fortunately] and one who repeatedly said he was going to help and was really conscious of how we were doing all the work [but never really helped us in the end]. The guy who helped only did a few backgrounds, but we were happy enough with that because it took out some of the stuff we need to do. Most of the stuff though, the programing, character art, scripting, and other backgrounds, were made by me and Adrian.

     When is it due?

It was originally due on Friday. We passed one but it was absolutely incomplete and had a lot of stuff and lessons missing from it. Our professor was considerate enough to give us the option of finishing the game, but he was only willing to give us until Monday. We were actually given the option of just passing the incomplete game, but it being our very first, we knew we had to finish it no matter what, even if the result is a bit mediocre because of the time constraint. We were also more than willing to finish it because our prof seemed to like it and was thinking of using it as an educational tool.

> 3D Modeling

So what's this about a Swiss Army Knife?

Basically, I have to use Autodesk Maya to create a 3D Model of a Swiss Army Knife.

The picture I used as my reference for creating my Swiss Army Knife.

Scary, isn't it? Actually, I was given a link with a tutorial to create that thing. The thing is, when I went to the site, the tutorial was gone! So what I did, I looked for a tutorial elsewhere. Fortunately, it was a whole lot easier than I thought it would be [the looking for the tutorial that is]. When I read the tutorial, you could say its a lot simpler than it looks [if you're only going to make the shapes and not all the details] and I guessed I could probably create an acceptable model [though it's gonna suck without details] in a few hours... as long as I don't get lost in Maya's almost-impossible-to-navigate program [it's a lot easier if you know what to click].

I asked sir if I could pass this today, but I don't think I have enough time to finish it due to the amount of work I need to do for my General Psychology Project so I'll be passing it on Monday along with everyone else.

Multimedia Production

I am, fortunately, done with my Multimedia Production finals! All I need to do is do the exercise I missed which is to animate Pepelo in PAP.

I'm pretty sure this is him... except in the picture we based him on, he was wearing a tux.
Now, I don't really know anything about this Pepelo Pepelo dude, but I think it's this New Zealand Cartoon called bro'Town.

I'll also be submitting this on Monday along with my 3D Modeling project since it's the same professor.

> Advertising 1

Well, this one is a bit simple. My professor asked me to just change some pictures, so all I need to do is take some pictures and just photoshop it right on the poster.

Our professor generously gave us until Wednesday to submit our final outputs in school where we will also post our posters.

> Web Design

This blog page of mine explains all there is to know about my finals in this subject.

Anyways, that's all for now~! Ella blasting off~!

Saturday 8 October 2011

Day 3 – Something you crave a lot

Right now, actually this was when I woke up, I just suddenly crave for these:

Delectable Spanish Bread... yum...

An ensaymada that looked a bit like the bread I bought before that I liked.

I swear, the first thing that came to my mind when I woke up and looked for food, all I could think about was Spanish bread and a bread that I bought before that looked like ensaymada but was not ensaymada. My gawd, I swear, when I woke up I wanted to get up, ride a trike, cross the street and buy those sweet, soft, delectable sugary goodness that is Spanish bread and ensaymada-looking-bread-i-dont-know bread!

When I saw this, my mouth watered. I had no idea spanish bread can have chocolate filling! Of course I just love the original.

Speaking of goodness, now that I think about it, when you usually put the word "goodness" on something, that food just suddenly feels so... so... deliciously good, like:

cup of gooodness...
Especially those with a 'Y' attatched to an adjective referring to the food like...

Hot chees-y goodness!

Ahem, anyways, aside from Spanish bread and uhh that other bread, I'm also craving for Leslie's Harvest.

Leslie's Harvest

Harvest is a natural crisps with real vegetable bits, as stated by the packaging. But the packaging could be quite misleading as this guy pointed out. It tastes sweet and sour just like it said. The taste is very unique, but not a lot of people like it. I remember before, I think I was either in high school or elementary, they gave out free samples of harvest in little packages and I instantly fell in love with it. The other students just threw it away (such a waste). It's very delicious and healthy and I wish they would've given those to me instead.

After that day, I occasionally bought them in these large packs. I could 1 whole pack in one sitting and open another one afterwards. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any of these around for sale. I really hope they didn't stop producing it since I really really love it.

That's all for now, Ella blasting off~!

Day 2 – A song to match your mood

Well, my mood today is pretty much... how do you say this... varied? A whole lot of stuff happened today, it went from neutral, to annoyed, to happy, to annoyed, to happy yet again, and to tired and barely awake. I guess you can say my overall mood is tired, so a mellow song definitely matches my mood.

The song that matches my mood today is:

The Hush by Texas

I actually found out about this song from my boyfriend and he was also the one who suggested this song for my blog since he has a lot of mellow songs that could match my mood. I'm not too sure if the song's lyrics matches how I feel today, but the melody is definitely straight on.

Anyways, I definitely feel really tired. Me and my boyfriend spent the whole day trying to finish this visual novel game to pass for our General Psychology Subject [yeah, we're that ambitious]. It all paid off since Sir Ruel really liked what we did even though it wasn't finished. We we're given a choice to pass a completed version of it on Monday or just pass it as it is today. Of course we chose the first option.

So much to do, so little time. I still have to finish my MMP project, the pepelou animation [this is a real cartoon character, not a reference to my nickname], and my 3D modeling project. I can finish MMP but I guess my 3D and pepelou animation will be sent late. I hope sir won't mind.

Anyways, I'm off to lala-land. I need to catch some Zs.

Ella blasting off to dreamland!

Day 1 – A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

A picture of myself

Well, here's a picture of myself. Why did I chose this picture? Well, aside from the fact that this is as far as I can or will ever go to modeling, I kinda like this picture because I had a lot of pretty great memories on the day we took it. My friend planned on having a photoshoot at west gate, to practice his modeling, have some pictures in his portfolio and also just for fun. I was supposed to be modeling with a couple of girls, but because the others couldn't make it, there were only 2 of us plus 2 male models [one of them was guy who invited me]. We also had 4 male photographers [one of them was my boyfriend :P]. It was a bit awkward that there were only 2 of us girls, but the guys were pretty nice and we had a lot of fun.

Anyways, about my day? Well, how can I describe it... Well, it went a little something like this:

FEAR ME!!!

Just kidding! It actually went pretty awesome; our group in AVP scored a 95! We were highest in our class yet again~! XD It was this short film about this nerdy girl who may seem like she's on the bottom of the food chain, but because she has dirt on the students in the school, she's actually on top. I can't really upload the video here since I don't have the copy and also since the main character doesn't really want us to upload it either. Anyways, I'll just show you guys the poster instead:

A weird poster featuring the cast without the main actress.

Well, yeah, it's not the best poster in the whole wide world, but it's better than nothing, right? As for why the main actress isn't in the poster, we weren't able to take a good picture of her, and I think she probably doesn't want her picture to be here since she doesn't want any publicity in the net.

Anyways, even though my day was pretty awesome as it sounds, it was actually pretty tiring, annoying, and somewhat depressing and stressful. I was rushing to make this poster so that I could pass on time, but in the end, I still have to pass it tomorrow because we had some errors in the first copy. Aside from that, our teacher liked our film so much, she wanted 2 copies. :P

Why depressing? Well stress brings about a melancholic mood all the time for me, so I'm pretty much guessing after all this is over, I'd be carefree and happy-go-lucky again~! XD

That's it for now~! Ella blasting off~!

7-day Blog for Finals

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around in the past few days. I might probably be abandoning this blog after my finals project, but fear not! I won't be quitting blogging anytime soon! I'll be making a new blog, but I'm not too sure of what I'll be putting. It would most probably be my artworks and rants and whatnot.

Anyways, what's this 7-day blog you ask? This is basically one of those 60-day blog challenges which requires you to blog everyday for 60 days, except this one is just 7 days. There are certain themes for each day and this is the list:

Day 1 – A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

Day 2 – A song to match your mood.
Day 3 – Something you crave a lot.
Day 4 – Your plans for today.
Day 5 – A photo of yourself two years ago.
Day 6 – A photo of an animal you’d love to keep as a pet.
Day 7 – Your dream wedding.

Well I hope I don't accidentally forget to blog! hahaha! I'm actually pretty relieved that this is our finals because if we were to be given a heavy job like create a working website that you can actually view through the internet, I would be soooo dead.

8-bit Theater

Today's Webcomic Review: 8-bit Theater !

1st comic of 8-bit Theater

Status: Completed
Updates: None

What's it about?

This is a parody of one fo the most successful and popular RPGs ever made by the Japanese: The Final Fantasy Series! This comic, however, concentrates more on the very 1st game of the series, thus the pixel graphics. Enter Black Mage and Fighter's to become the light warriors!

My Rating:

Story

The story's pretty funny and it's definitely something I can go to once in a while when I feel nostalgic for old final fantasy games. What I like about this story is it's usually gags but it advances the story at the same time. It has an actual plot which is engaging but is also light and funny. This is a nice read for those who love the first and original Final Fantasy game, those who like parodies and light comics.

Art

Well once again we have a comic which uses a game's sprite, but then if you actually check out the game, you'll see that the game's sprite's movements are very limited, so most of their actions are drawn by Brian Clevinger himself. I really like it when sprites are used this way [either animation or comics], for me, it always has that cute factor and likeability which comes from a person's familiarity with the game.

From this point you can definitely guess I'm a big fan of parody comics [specially ragnarok ones]. I found out about this comic from my S.O. which was one of the stuff we bonded over about.

A quick trivia: Brian Clevinger likes to play tricks on his readers. :P

That's all for now~! Ella blasting off~! XD

Ragnarok Wisdom

Today's Webcomic Review: Ragnarok Wisdom  !

Status: Ongoing
Updates: Irregular

What's it about?

It is yet another parody comic, this time about the ever famous MMORPG, Ragnarok Online. It's a comic about the in-game jokes and also references other games occasionally. It stars an acolyte named Aragan and his friends like the swordsman Sniff the Raven, Nth Power the alchemist and etc.

My Rating:

Story

The first time I started reading this, it made me laugh and I can actually relate since most of Aragan's comics back then were definitely centered on the in-game jokes, but as time passed, he started to reference other things that are not related to Ragnarok Online. It was still kind of funny, but then it seemed to concentrate more on it than on the original concept of in-game jokes. I started to get lost while reading it and could not exactly relate to it as much as I did before.

After a few months of reading it, I eventually became too busy to check back on it. When I checked it out today while I was browsing through possible webcomics I could review, the latest comics were either filled with jokes that couldn't really make me laugh or jokes that I didn't quite understand. The humorous tone of the comic changed, but I'm not saying it's just not funny anymore, it's just not as funny to me as it used to be.

Art

Ragnarok Wisdom's First Comic

The first art that the comic produced was not well made and a little rough, but I guess you can say that  its kind of impressive as well if you consider the fact that this was only done in MS Paint. I used to sprite and draw a bit on MS Paint, but it is very difficult and tiring, and the fact that this guy can make sketches in that program the way he can draw using pencil and pen is pretty cool...

Ragnarok Wisdom's Recent Comic

...and it just gets better from there. the recent art used in his most recent comics are amazingly detailed. From the line art to the coloring to the shading and the editing, it absolutely far off from what he started with. it still looks like he drew it from MS Paint, but I'm not quite sure. One part about this comic's art style that I really love is that it uses pixels, not just the regular soft and smooth lines. That style is what made it original and I'm pretty glad he didn't change it.

I absolutely don't remember how I found this, just like my other old webcomics, though I sorta wish I could remember. What I do remember is looking through Ragnarok Online-themed webcomics through the internet when I was bored and had this obsession with Ragnarok and its sprites.

That's all for now~! Ella blasting off~! XD
